UK Parliament Week (Activity for Schools/Academies)

18th - 24th November 2024. An annual event, spreading the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how you can get involved. A great way to find out new things you might have forgotten.

UK Parliament Week (UKPW) is a great way to help inform students about UK Parliament, take action and make an impact on the issues they care about, whilst developing their debating and voting skills and learning about democracy.

Last year, over 1.6 million people took part in every nation and region of the UK, and countries all over the world.

Schools/Academies will receive a free kit packed with resources when you sign up and you can pick and choose from the options in the booklet or tailor your UK Parliament Week activity to suit whatever time you have available and to the age groups.  9000 kits have been ordered already!!

Over 10,000 activities last year, UK Parliament Week celebrated in lots of ways: lively debates and quizzes, creating petitions, discussing issues and holding votes, baking and crafts and meeting an MP and local councillors, either face to face or online.

To sign up and receive the free kit, please go to www.ukparliamentweek.org/en/

When you sign up you’ll get access to a free digital resources kit. It includes a tailored booklet packed with ideas for your UKPW event, and activities for the classroom including:
