Ada Lovelace Day Roadshow 2026

Where: Manchester Digital'd Digital Her and Autotrader’s Wise Community are hosting the Ada Lovelace Day Roadshow 2026 in Manchester city centre.

The event is aimed at Year 11 girls studying GCSE Computer Science, or considering further study in Computer Science or Software Development, and is designed to inspire, build confidence and help students make informed post-16 choices.

The Roadshow has been designed as both an Introduce and Inspire and Investigate and Explore experience and is mapped to support schools’ achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks and delivery of the Equalex Framework, through meaningful employer encounters, exposure to role models, practical skills activity and exploration of technical education pathways.

It also supports Greater Manchester’s wider ambition to build an integrated technical education system, including the MBacc, by helping young people connect learning in school with technical pathways, job roles and practical skills exposure as well as employer opportunities and future careers awareness.

Students will take part in:

• conversations with women working in technology at Autotrader;
• practical, hands-on workshops;
• exploration of T Levels, apprenticeships and other technical pathways;
• a Tech Expo focused on roles, routes and opportunities in the sector; and
• activities designed to build confidence and understanding of careers in technology.

Schools across Greater Manchester can request places, with priority given to schools in Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford and Wigan if the event is oversubscribed.
