Active & Creative Darnhill Communities (ACDC) is a vibrant initiative led by 6 arts, culture and sport organisations working to engage with Darnhill (Heywood) Communities.

We are a cheerleading and dance organisation, with fully qualified coaches in BGU/ UKCA, First Aid trained and DBS Checked who have danced professionally and competed at international level winning European and World cheerleading championship titles.

This summer, the Rochdale Pioneers Museum is launching a short summer project aimed at young people aged 16-21. It is a great opportunity for anyone that age who might be interested in a career in the arts or heritage - they'll learn about different career options in the sector, visit our museum store, and develop their creative skills by putting together a small display.

Well Strong gives young people access to a free, coached gym programme. This is a strength and conditioning programme led by qualified youth coaches to help children and young people improve fitness, movement, coordination, and confidence in a fun supportive environment. 

Bike libraries are local hubs that will allow people to borrow a bicycle, like a book, to try out. They aim to boost access to cycles and give people a chance to give cycling a go.
