We’re reaching out to ask for your support with this fantastic opportunity for families across Rochdale.

Commissioned by Rochdale Public Health, we (Justin Axon and Katie Berrisford) are leading a multi-phased, co-produced initiative to increase and improve access to inclusive physical activity opportunities for children and young people aged 0–25 with SEND and/or SEMH needs.

The project has three phases:

1.  Consultation & Co-Design

We want to hear from you!  We are delivering workshops for children and young people in schools and community settings where we will complete surveys and listening sessions with you, as parents/carers and this will create a mapping of existing physical activity and give us the full picture.

2. Upskilling & Support

We will offer training and hands-on-support to local providers, helping them to build confidence and capacity to include children and young people with SEND/SEMH.

3. Connection & Celebration

We'll bring everyone together through inclusive meet-ups and a final showcase event, celebrating what's worked and sharing plans for lasting change.
