
This qualification aims to equip people with the skills and motivation to create and run sporting activities in the community.
What will I learn?
This qualification uses sport to teach generic leadership skills. It enables successful candidates to independently lead small group of people in sport and recreational activities within community settings.
What’s involved?
Guided Learning hours: 26 study hours, plus a minimum of 5 hours volunteering in community sport activity.
Sports Leaders UK awards and qualifications are practical and there are no formal examinations to sit.
Assessment is ongoing through the course, and candidates are expected to complete a workbook, and deliver a 30 minute session to a small group at the end of the course.
For those aged 16+ who can read and write in English to complete the workbook.
