As part of the Public Health comissioned: 'Increasing Physical Activity for Children & Young People with SEND/SEMH (0–25) in Rochdale' project, we will be delivering a series of fully funded, free-to-attend training/workshop sessions in the lead-up to summer.

These sessions are designed for staff at every level. We are especially keen to engage those who work directly with children, young people and their families, as well as colleagues who plan, prepare or work more strategically within their organisations.

By attending, providers will be able to:

  • Show families that we are all actively investing in SEND/SEMH, accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Build trust, which came through strongly in the survey responses.
  • Share best practice across the sector, learning from each other rather than working in isolation.
  • Strengthen Rochdale’s collective offer, demonstrating that we are developing as a partnership, not as individual organisations.
  • Create more consistent, confident and welcoming experiences for children and young people across the borough.

In the first instance, each provider can book up to 2 places per session.

Venues are TBC. If anyone is willing to host a session, it would be hugely appreciated. It’s a great opportunity to showcase your venue, highlight what you do, and support colleagues to understand your environment. Please let us know if you’re interested.
