Kooth - Supporting students through life changes April 2026

Free mental wellbeing toolkit to help academy and school staff support young people. Please read on!

Kooth cyp logo dark 002The summer term is always a whirlwind, especially for your students getting ready to move on. To help staff navigate these transitions, Kooth have put together a free student transitions toolkit.

These resources are designed with Kooth's clinical team to take the pressure off lesson planning while giving students the emotional tools they need to thrive over these next few months.

In the classroom: Ready-to-go resources

Save time on prep with these simple, high-impact tools:

  • "Moving on" video: A 15-minute, plug-and-play session perfect for end-of-term assemblies or tutor time.
  • Visual prompts: Use our "Change happens" and "It’s a big moment" posters to help normalise the uncertainty of growth.

For the class of 2026: Practical next steps

Whether they’re heading into the workforce or off to campus:

  • Starting work: Share our "Leaving school and starting work" article for practical advice on that first professional leap.
  • The next steps journal: A dedicated space for students to reflect, set goals, and plan their future with confidence.
  • Uni fears podcast: An honest look at "feeling like a failure" at university to help students tackle common higher-education worries.

Summer wellbeing: Staying connected

Kooth is here all year round to ensure no young person feels unsupported.

  • Processing change: Our "Letting go" meditation helps students find closure at the end of the term.
  • Summer purpose: Encourage positive habits with our article on volunteering and wellbeing.

Don’t forget: Kooth is always free, safe, and confidential. Students can access live 1:1 chats with practitioners from 12pm–10pm on weekdays and 6pm–10pm on weekends. They also have 24/7 access to self-help tools and peer support.

How we can support you during Mental Health Awareness Week: 11th- 17th May

This year for Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re exploring what "taking action" truly means.

We’re catching up with Kit Birks, who is currently walking the length of Europe for suicide prevention. We're asking Kit - who has thousands of social followers - to share how she takes action for her mental health to help young people gain inspiration and tips.

Look out for our daily social clips during MHAW and upcoming podcast to support your community’s wellbeing.
