Why?
Cultural Education gives young people opportunities to discover, create, learn and have fun together. There’s considerable evidence that participating in creative and heritage activities early in life improves health and wellbeing, educational attainment and employability.
What do we do?
We work collaboratively and strategically, utilising the information, resources and skills within our network to:
- Facilitate regular working circle meetings focused on specific topics and action.
- Identify and secure funding for cultural education in the borough of Rochdale.
- Collate and share evidence of the value of cultural education
- Deliver activity for children and young people that responds to identified priorities or gaps in local provision.
- Collate and share data to inform priorities
- Deliver CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events
- Act as ambassadors for cultural education
- Share information, opportunities and resources via a monthly newsletter
